Environment Policy & Law has
been published monthly for more than 18 years. Our office is
located in Carleton Place, Ontario, which is about 40
minutes from Ottawa.
Our Editors
Randy Ray
Randy Ray, co-founder and co-editor of
Environment Policy & Law, has been in the writing business
for more than 30 years. A Toronto native, Ray is a graduate
of the University of Toronto and Ryerson University. He was
a reporter at The London Free Press for 13 years, including
three as the paper's Parliament Hill correspondent and
currently is a freelance writer and author with eight books
about Canada to his credit. He lives in Ottawa with his wife
Janis and two of their
three sons.

Ken Pole
Ken Pole began his
journalism career with The Canadian Press and its Broadcast
News affiliate in 1964, beginning in Vancouver before being
transferred to Regina, Edmonton and eventually, in 1973, to
Ottawa as a member of the wire service's Parliament Hill
bureau. He began his freelance writing/editing career in
1979 and his clients have included Reader's Digest, Time, Maclean's, U.S. News & World Report, Reuters, the
International Civil Aviation Organization, Canadian Travel
Press, Wings, Helicopters and Frontline magazines; he also
has contributed to national and regional television and
radio programming. A sailor, diver and photographer, he has
a long-standing interest in, and commitment to, sound
environmental policy. He lives in Ottawa with his wife and
sundry animals.
